Moses challenged Israel to choose life by choosing to obey God.  If the people would do that they would continue to experience God’s blessings.  God lets us decide if we want to follow Him or reject Him.  The decision really is a life – or – death matter.

Christmas pageants are a tradition in churches across the land.  They usually have three characters:  Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus.  There might be some angels, shepherds and wise men.  But, there is never anyone playing the role of Herod, and he is such an important figure because he is a healthy reminder of the kind of world in which we live.

Data suggests that the inheritors of great wealth often blow through it rather quickly.  The apostle Paul writes to Titus saying that we are “heirs.”  What is the inheritance and how will we “spend” it?

December 24, 2016 – Titus 2:11-14 “The Best Gift Ever”

On Christmas Eve, lots of people – especially children – hope that the best gift ever is waiting for them under the Christmas tree.  The problem is that the givers are human.  Sometimes, a gift sends a message that is either unintentionally clueless or intentionally nasty.  In writing to Titus, Paul reminds us that there is one gift that arrived at Christmas that sends exactly the right message – every time!
