July 24, 2016 – Matthew 9:9-13 “Mercy Not Sacrifice”

In Jesus’ day, much emphasis was put on offering sacrifices and following God’s laws.  However, Jesus taught and displayed how God really wants us to show mercy to others rather than offering sacrifices.  So, to live, love, think and act life Jesus means showing mercy to others and bringing people to God.  That is an acceptable sacrifice to God.
